What are the evidences of being Born Again

When God's life flows into us through new birth, there will be several clear indications that something wonderful has taken place. For some people, these evidences of new birth will be immediate and dramatic, with others they may develop more slowly.

1. A Love for God's Word

The Holy Spirit enters the life of the new believer and creates a hunger for more of the Word that brought him salvation. It is through this Word that growth will take place. 1 Pet 2: 2 "As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby"

2. A New Awareness of Sin

The Holy Spirit also convicts our words, thoughts, or actions that are displeasing to the Lord. It is through the sharpened conscience of a new believer and the correct responses to the Spirit's leading that we grow to maturity. Heb 5 : 13-14 "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil"

3. A New Love for God

A new believer has a special love for the Lord. In Scripture, this is called a "first love". It is a quality that we must cherish and nurture lest we lose it and receive the discipline of God

4. A LOve for Other Believers

A born-again believer suddenly becomes a member of a large family. There is a special oneness of spirit that exists between believers, and Scripture instructs us to guard and deepen this relationship1 Pet 1:22

5. A Desire to Tell Others

A new believer also realises that he is now living in the light and that those around him are in spiritual darkness. There is a natural desire to want to tell others of his newfound faith. Psalm 107 : 2

Our Small Steps to Victories

2 King 7:3-7 tells us how much God cared for His creation and delivered them in the midst of hopeless situation. God is the same today, if we take one baby step by faith and He will take a giant leap to deliver us even on the battleground.

Friends, get up and run to your destiny today! Because your creator has so much for you and in you, to glorify His name.

Power of Our BIG Mouths

Isa 55:11 declares God's words will not achieve nothing when spoken.

Boomerang flies out in the air and return back to the thrower. God's word is the super spiritual boomerang in our lives. How often do we speak negatively upon the situations and people daily? The devil takes the advantage and work harder to make the situation and people dislike us more when our tongues unleash unkind thoughts. Without knowing, we often blame God for the disaster and the boomerang on our heads.

God SPOKE the words, the world was created. Jesus SPOKE and defeated the devil. What do we want to achieve with our mouths today?

God's Will

In John 21:15-19 Jesus reminded Peter's devine appointment: "Do you love me?", "Feed my lamb". "Do you truly love me?", "Take care of my sheep". "Do you love me?", "Feed my sheep. I tell you the truth, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go. Follow me!".

Dear Father, thank you for you relentless love for us. Help us today to rededicate and yield ourselves for your calling in the marketplace. Direct us to our destiny and grant us success today as you have promised us in Psa 91:14-16.

God's Timing without Anxiety

Last night I was blessed to sit with a re-born Christian loaded with the world's financial burden & troubles. God reminded me of the "old me" on the other side of the table a few years back.

Phi 4:6 tells us "Do not be anxious about ANYTHING , but in EVERYTHING by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God". Isa 54:1-17 reassures us with His promise "..No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tougue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord..declares the Lord".

How's your spiritual health on this subject? Psa 139:23-24 says "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting"

Father, you know our anxious thoughts in all situations. Teach us today to walk in your truth and power, and we'll be still and know you are God.

God's Promises without FEAR

One important thought I brought home with, from the 1st Aug cell meeting, is the effect of FEAR hindering our success in our lives.

God is constantly assuring us His protection and love in Isa 35:4, 41:10, 57:11-13, Jer 30:10-11, Mal 3:5. Spirit of fear is one of our biggest strongholds at the starting line of our kingdom race.

Faith is the foundation to trust Him, the Holy Spirit will lead us to the finishing line - we all are the chosen winners by His definition.

Stop being a hostage today and start enjoying His promises.

God's love

Brother Victor carried a great message on Tue night and I felt it's equally applicable to every men in the market place.

Psalm 23:4 says "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

Jesus has taken up all our sins upon the cross - all condemnations and guilts. God wants us to focus on Him, and promised to be with us even when we are walking THROUGH the darkness (in our daily challenges at work or family), before we take up the feast He has prepared for us before the enemy.

Roman 8:37 reads "..we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." A timely reminder for those trapped in our daily affairs that Jesus wants us to succeed in every situation. Cast your problems into His hands and run to the table!!

Spiritual Refreshment At TeenChallenge Last Night

Bros Albert, Stevens (Lu and Song), Michael and Ben arrived punctually at 7:30pm. The group was gifted and the band was annointed with Holy Spirit - worshipped in English, Hokkien, Cantonese and Mandirin songs.

Pastor Lim, from The Harvest Forest delivered the message on the subject of Discouragement from Neh 4:6-14. The enemy uses the four "F"s to destroy us: Fatigue, Frustration, Failure and Fear. She reminded our faith to trust and rest in Him, as He had nailed all our discouragement on the cross!!

The bros were invited to blessed the bros during the alter-call, many experienced the visitation of the Holy Spirit.

The much blessed trip was ended after a nice supper behind the Beauty World. The mencall shall re-visit the TeenChallenge soon.

1. Next week we'll be visiting Bro Jason's Teen Challenge ministry on 16th May. Exact meeting place and time will be informed by Bro Albert before the 16th.
2. Planning to hold a get-together dinner fellowship to bring back all mencell members. Discuss plan next week.
3. The cell is officially adopted the TCC's 4-book cell training material with modified mentoring style.

You can make real-time comments at the BLOG site, an easier and less IT challenge platform for most members - an effort to encourage more interaction. It's also a statement that shows this senior group of men are still on par with the latest trend!!
