Faith

An old topic, but ever refreshing to re-learn.

Rom 4:13-15 says "It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. For if those who live by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless, because law brings wrath.."

We are the spiritual offspring of Abraham, so we have the promise through faith.

Rom 10:6-11 says "But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?" (that is, to bring Christ down) "or 'Who will descend into the deep?" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

With our faith, Jesus doesn't need to be present to save us. It's the confession of our faith through our mouth that will save us! Because God releases His words when we follow the formula: Faith + Action (confession through mouth) = Blessing.

Psa 107:20 says "He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave."

But why we do not see the manifestation?

Jesus rebuke the disciples in Mat 16:8 "You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread?". Living in the instant-noodle age, we often want to bypass the hard labour and receive the fruits instantly.

The seed of faith is in the words, we need to decree the words often through the mouth and grow our faith despite the circumstances. Holy Spirit is the key driver of our faith walk in all seasons.

Blessings.
