Thankful Hearts

The world has taught us "public relation" through the schools and work places - we give to receive. Or even, we give to even out the favour we received. The concept of pride is deep rooted in us.

Colossians 3 is a good reading material to remind ourselves that God's grace is beyond our comprehension.

"Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.. clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

The act of thanksgiving allows us to humble before the mighty one, and grow into the image of Christ.

Perhaps many are in pain due to the current financial crisis. Thank God for the roof over our head, caring spouse/friends/family, our good health, creative minds, etc. May this video encourage ourselves that there are many important challenges ahead of us in enjoying life.
